December 27, 2017 "PURE JOY!"

“Science can purify religion
from error and superstition.
Religion can purify science
from idolatry and false absolutes. "
- Pope John Paul II.

"If I ascend to heaven, you are there; if I make my bed in Sheol, you are there."  Psalms 139:8

"There are three words from which "hell" is derived: Sheol, "the unseen state"; Hades, "the unseen world"; and Gehenna, "Valley of Hinnom." These are used in various relations, nearly all of them allegorical. Hell is a figure of speech that represents a corrective state of mind.” Charles Fillmore, Dynamics for Living 279

"They reach the highest state who with the eye of knowledge know the boundary between the knower and its field and the freedom creatures have from nature." Bhagavad-Gita 13:33

"We understand hell to be a purifying process, which the soul goes through to rid it of dross and weakness." Myrtle Fillmore, How to Let God Help You 64

"True words are not beautiful. Beautiful words are not truthful. The good do not argue. Those who argue are not good. Those who know are not scholarly. The scholarly do not know. The wise do not hoard. The more they give to others, the more they have. The Way of heaven benefits and does not harm. The Way of the wise accomplishes without striving." Lao Tse, Tao te Ching 81

"Jesus of Nazareth was the first individual person, the first sufficiently conscious that he was not divided against himself, not contained in a collective psychology." John Sanford, The Kingdom Within, 171

"Find a place inside where there's joy, and the joy will burn out the pain." Joseph Campbell

"But I say to you that if you are angry with a brother or sister, you will be liable to judgement; and if you insult a brother or sister, you will be liable to the council; and if you say, “You fool”, you will be liable to the hell of fire." Matthew 5:22

As this calendar year comes to a close and the daylight returns in the new year, we can consciously leave behind the past and move confidently into a blessed renewed experience of life and living.

Fire is a transformative symbol. It physically and metaphorically transforms matter and consciousness. And so we utilize fire symbolically in our meditation and visualizations to release the past, purifying our present and preparing the ground for our future growth.

Please affirm with us: “With God as my source, all that I need and desire is readily provided; I relax, I let go, I let God's good come forth!"

For so it is and so it shall be, Amen!

December 20, 2017 - "HEALING JOY!"

“If you carry joy in your heart,
you can heal any moment."
- Carlos Santana

"But let all who take refuge in you rejoice; let them ever sing for joy. Spread your protection over them, so that those who love your name may exult in you." Isaiah 13:5-6

"No man knows the fullness of life, nor its joys, until he has prayed in meekness and thanksgiving and has received the sweet, pure realizations of Spirit. True and lasting joy arises from within. The nature of the deep inner life is revealed only to those who spiritually penetrate into its source.” Charles Fillmore, Dynamics for Living 106-7

"Beginningless, without qualities, the supreme self is unchanging even abiding in a body it does not act, nor is it defiled. Just as all-pervading space remains unsullied in its subtlety, so the self in every body remains unsullied." Bhagavad-Gita 13:31-32

"In the silence we get the wonderful inward joy that is of God. We see what the real is." Myrtle Fillmore, How to Let God Help You 89

"Therefore the wise keep their part of an agreement and do not blame the other party. The good fulfill their obligations; the bad exact obligations from others. The Way of heaven is impartial. It always stays with the good." Lao Tse, Tao te Ching 79

"The ethic of those who want to enter the kingdom will be a creative ethic founded on consciousness of oneself." John Sanford, The Kingdom Within, 169

"I slept and dreamt that life was joy. I awoke and saw that life was service. I acted and behold, service was joy." Rabindranath Tagore

"The kingdom of heaven is like treasure hidden in a field, which someone found and hid; then in his joy he goes and sells all that he has and buys that field." Matthew 13:44

We are in the season of Advent, the four Sundays before the Christ Mass. Traditionally we celebrate the qualities of Hope/Faith, Peace, Love and Joy on these days.

In Creation Centered Spirituality we honor all that has come before us to prepare the way for the Birth of the Christ Level of Awareness that we celebrate on Christmas Eve; the Mineral Kingdom represents the potential, the expectation, the hope of Divine Life; the Plant Kingdom brings the beginnings of life at the cellular level and the peace of new growth and renewal; the Animal Kingdom brings a new level of activity and interrelation or love; the Kingdom of Humanity brings the attitude of joy and the possibility for the birth of the Christ level of awareness.

This week we celebrate Healing Joy, and we honor the Kingdom of Humanity.

Please affirm with us: “God is my joy; I am joy filled!"

For so it is and so it shall be, Amen!

 Decembe 13, 2017 - "DIVINE LOVE!"

be what you do."
- Rumi

"Love, in Divine Mind, is the idea of universal unity.” Charles Fillmore, Dynamics for Living 35

"He really sees who sees that all actions are preformed by nature alone and that the self is not an actor. When he perceives the unity existing in separate creatures and how they expand from unity, he attains the infinite spirit." Bhagavad-Gita 13:29-30

"God is the very love which draws together and holds in perfect harmony (if you will only allow it) all the elements of your being." Myrtle Fillmore, How to Let God Help You 17

"Nothing in the world is softer and weaker than water. Yet nothing is better at attacking the hard and strong. There is no substitute for it. The weak overcomes the strong; the soft overcomes the hard." Lao Tse, Tao te Ching 78

"The opposite sides of personality are so different that only a great force can draw them together in union. This power is love, Love is a stronger power that the forces of disujnon." John Sanford, The Kingdom Within, 166

"If you love someone, set them free. If they come back they're yours; if they don't they never were."  Richard Bach

"Jesus answered, ‘The first is, “Hear, O Israel: the Lord our God, the Lord is one; you shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, and with all your soul, and with all your mind, and with all your strength.” The second is this, “You shall love your neighbour as yourself.” There is no other commandment greater than these.’" Mark 12:29-31

This week we celebrate Divine Love, and we honor the Animal Kingdom.

Please affirm with us: “God is Love; I Am loved and loving!"

For so it is and so it shall be, Amen!

December 6, 2017 - "DEEP PEACE!"

“Deep peace
of the quiet earth to you."
- Celtic Benediction

"A spirit from on high is poured out on us, and the wilderness becomes a fruitful field, and the fruitful field is deemed a forest. Then justice will dwell in the wilderness, and righteousness abide in the fruitful field. The effect of righteousness will be peace, and the result of righteousness, quietness and trust for ever." Isaiah 32:15-17

"God was known to the Israelites as Jehovah-shalom: 'I am peace.' You can demonstrate peace of mind by holding the words 'I am peace.'” Charles Fillmore, Dynamics for Living 84

"Outside and within all creatures, inanimate but still animate, too subtle to be known, it is far distant, yet near. Undivided, it seems divided among creatures; understood as their sustainer, it devours and creates them. Bhagavad-Gita 13:15-16

"The state we call heaven is awaiting those who are ready for it: the peace and harmony and order that come from living in tune with infinite good." Myrtle Fillmore, How to Let God Help You 64

"The Way of heaven is like bending a bow. The high is lowered; the low is raised. The excessive is reduced; the deficient is increased. The Way of heaven takes from those who have too much and gives to those who do not have enough." Lao Tse, Tao te Ching 77

"Another way in which the mystery of the coming of the kingdom is expressed is in the image of the Undivided Person. Unity is the goal of the kingdom." John Sanford, The Kingdom Within, 164

"Peace is not an absence of war, it is a virtue, a state of mind, a disposition for benevolence, confidence, justice." Benedict Spinoza.

"He woke up and rebuked the wind, and said to the sea, ‘Peace! Be still!’ Then the wind ceased, and there was a dead calm." Mark 4:39

This week we celebrate Deep Peace, and we honor the Plant Kingdom.

Please affirm with us: “Jehovah - shalom; I Am Peace!"

For so it is and so it shall be, Amen!

November 29, 2017 - "HOPE & ENCOURAGEMENT!"

“Hope lies in dreams, in imagination,
and in the courage of those who dare to make dreams into reality."
– Jonas Salk

"Therefore the Lord himself will give you a sign. Look, the young woman is with child and shall bear a son, and shall name him Immanuel." Isaiah 7:14

"The true Christian never boasts that he is a self-made man, for he well knows that all that he is and has, together with all that he can ever hope to be or to have, is but God finding expression through him.” Charles Fillmore, Dynamics for Living 224

"The field denotes this body, and wise men call one who knows it the field-knower. Know me as the field-knower in all fields -- what I deem to be knowledge is knowledge of the field and its knower.” Bhagavad-Gita 13:1-2

"The soul must be awakened and brought to a realization of the Truth, and encouraged in the righteous use of all the God-given faculties and powers. The individual must be helped to unify his Spirit, soul, and body, in harmonious spiritual living here and now. " Myrtle Fillmore, How to Let God Help You 200

"When people are born, they are tender and supple. At death they are stiff and hard. All things, like plants and trees, are tender and pliant while alive. At death they are dried and withered. Therefore the stiff and hard are companions of death. The tender and supple are companions of life." Lao Tse, Tao te Ching 76

"The coming of the kingdom represents the 'end of the world' in the psychological sense that it is the end of an old order and the establishment of a new order of being. The creative contents of the inner world overthrow the previous organization of the personality." John Sanford, The Kingdom Within, 161

"Courage is like love; it must have hope for nourishment." Napoleon Bonaparte

"She will bear a son, and you are to name him Jesus, for he will save his people from their sins.’ All this took place to fulfil what had been spoken by the Lord through the prophet: ‘Look, the virgin shall conceive and bear a son, and they shall name him Emmanuel’, which means, ‘God is with us.'" Matthew 1:21-23

We are entering into the season of Advent, the four Sundays before the Christ Mass. Traditionally we celebrate the qualities of Hope/Faith, Peace, Love and Joy on these days.

This week we celebrate Hope and Encouragement, and we honor the Mineral Kingdom.

Please affirm with us: “With God as my strength and the rock upon which I stand, I have the courage to be all that I am created to be!"

For so it is and so it shall be, Amen!

November 22, 2017 - "THANK YOU!"

“If the only prayer you said in your whole life was,
'thank you,'
that would suffice."
– Meister Eckhart

"Then Jesus took the loaves, and when he had given thanks, he distributed them to those who were seated; so also the fish, as much as they wanted." John 6:11

"True thanksgiving may be likened to rain falling upon ready soil, refreshing it and increasing its productiveness.” Charles Fillmore, Dynamics for Living 155

"Even more dear to me are devotees who cherish this elixir of sacred duty as I have taught it, intent on me in their faith.” Bhagavad-Gita 12:20

"Consider, honestly and impersonally, just what there is greatest need of, where you are or elsewhere, and then ask the Father to help you to get into that line of expression and service. Give thanks that He is prospering you and providing for your needs." Myrtle Fillmore, How to Let God Help You 163

"The Way of heaven does not strive; yet it wins easily. It does not speak; yet it gets a good response. It does not demand; yet all needs are met. It is not anxious; yet it plans well. The net of heaven is vast; its meshes are wide, but nothing slips through." Lao Tse, Tao te Ching 73

"There is always a secret connection between the inner and outer, the spiritual and material, the realization of spiritual values will bring a sufficiency of the material needs of life as well." John Sanford, The Kingdom Within, 159

"You will be enriched in every way for your great generosity, which will produce thanksgiving to God through us; for the rendering of this ministry not only supplies the needs of the saints but also overflows with many thanksgivings to God." 2 Corinthians 9:11-12

November is Gratitude Month; every day we remember to be grateful for all our many blessings and this month we celebrate all the good that God is!

The name God literally means "the goodly one." And in Unity we know that God is all; God is only good; therefore good is all there is!

If we are judging something to be other than good, we are eliminating God from the equation. Our job is then to put God back into the equation by denying the appearance of separation from our good and giving thanks for what is: God!

Please affirm with us: “God the good is all there is; I relax, I let go, I let God's good come forth; I give thanks for all the good that God is in my life!"

For so it is and so it shall be, Amen!

November 15, 2017 - "MINDFUL GRATITUDE!"

“A noble person is mindful
and thankful of the favors he receives from others.”

"O give thanks to the Lord, for he is good, for his steadfast love endures for ever." Psalms 136:1

"It has been found by experience that a person increases his blessings by being grateful for what he has. Gratitude even on the mental plane is a great magnet.” Charles Fillmore, Dynamics for Living 232

"Impartial to foe and friend, honor and contempt, cold and heat, joy and suffering, he is free from attachment. Neutral to blame and praise, silent, content with his fate, unsheltered, firm in thought, the man of devotion is dear to me.” Bhagavad-Gita 12:18-19

"Praise is gratitude in action. Try it in your home. If giving thanks has in the past increased meager supply into superabundance, the thing can be done again. Elisha did it. Jesus did it. The same power is latent in you." Myrtle Fillmore, How to Let God Help You 176

"To know that you do not know is the best. To think you know when you do not is a disease. Recognizing this disease as a disease is to be free of it." Lao Tse, Tao te Ching 71

"When one is in contact with the creative aspects of the inner world, one comes into possession of a vast treasure." John Sanford, The Kingdom Within, 158

"But thanks be to God that you, having once been slaves of sin, have become obedient from the heart to the form of teaching to which you were entrusted, and that you, having been set free from sin, have become slaves of righteousness (right-use-ness)." Romans 6:17-18

November 8, 2017 - "GIVING THANKS!"

“If you see no reason for giving thanks,
the fault lies with yourself.”
– Tecumseh, Shawnee Chief

"The Lord is my strength and my shield; in him my heart trusts; so I am helped, and my heart exults, and with my song I give thanks to him." Psalms 28:7

"Through an inherent law of mind action we increase whatever we praise. Make practical application of the law of praise by giving thanks always for all things.” Charles Fillmore, Dynamics for Living 106

The world does not flee from him, nor does he flee from the world; free of delight, rage, fear and disgust, he is dear to me. Disinterested, pure, skilled, indifferent, untroubled, relinquishing all involvements, devoted to me, he is dear to me.” Bhagavad-Gita 12:15-16

"Praise and thanksgiving have within them the quickening spiritual power that produces growth and increase." Myrtle Fillmore, How to Let God Help You 155

"The best soldier is not violent. The best fighter is not angry. The best winner is not contentious. The best employer is humble. This is known as the power of not striving, as ability in human relations, and as being in accord with heaven." Lao Tse, Tao te Ching 68

"This act of consciousness releases us from the Law and makes it possible for us to follow the higher, synthesizing ethic of creativity." John Sanford, The Kingdom Within, 157

"First, I thank my God through Jesus Christ for all of you, because your faith is proclaimed throughout the world." Romans 1:8

November 1, 2017 - "THE GREATEST VIRTUE!"

“Gratitude is not only the greatest of virtues,
but the parent of all others.”

"At that time Jesus said, ‘I thank you, Father, Lord of heaven and earth, because you have hidden these things from the wise and the intelligent and have revealed them to infants;" Matthew 11:25

"Words which express thanks, gratitude, and praise release energy of mind and soul. Their use is usually followed by effects so pronounced that they are quickly identified with the words that provoke them.” Charles Fillmore, Dynamics for Living 156

“One who bears hate for no creature is friendly, compassionate, unselfish, free of individuality, patient, the same in suffering and joy. Content always, disciplined, self-controlled, firm in his resolve, his mind and understanding dedicated to me, devoted to me, he is dear to me.” Bhagavad-Gita 12:13-14

"THANKSGIVING AND GRATITUDE are qualities of the soul too little understood and exercised. Heaven and earth listen and respond to the soul that is quickened into praise and thanksgiving. " Myrtle Fillmore, How to Let God Help You 176

"Everyone says the Way is great and beyond comparison. Because it is great, it cannot be compared. If it were compared, it already would have seemed small." Lao Tse, Tao te Ching 67

"The child is frequently used by Jesus to represent one who has entered the kingdom of heaven... little children have no mask; they are what seem to be and express directly what they feel without hypocrisy." John Sanford, The Kingdom Within, 151

"But strive first for the kingdom of God and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well." Matthew 6:33

October 25, 2017 - "THE LIGHT OF SPIRIT!"

“Darkness cannot drive out darkness;
only light can do that.”
― Martin Luther King, Jr.

"Peter turned and saw the disciple whom Jesus loved following them;... he said to Jesus, ‘Lord, what about him?’" John 21:20-21

"Day by day we shall be resurrected out of the darkness of sense into the glorious light of Spirit.” Charles Fillmore, Mysteries of John 182

“Knowledge is better than practice, meditation better than knowledge, rejecting fruits of action is better still -- it brings peace.” Bhagavad-Gita 12:12

"With Christ light flooding your soul, you see causes and effects correctly, and you behold the great Cause (God) in which are your perfection and freedom." Myrtle Fillmore, How to Let God Help You 109

"A tree as big as a person's embrace grows from a tiny shoot. A tower nine stories high begins with a mound of earth. A journey of a thousand miles begins under one's feet." Lao Tse, Tao te Ching 64

"Repentance for an ego possessed by an inflated idea of its importance is possible only through being plunged into the fires of the unconscious." John Sanford, The Kingdom Within, 140

“Jesus said to him, ‘If it is my will that he remain until I come, what is that to you? Follow me!’" John 21:22

The final chapter to the Gospel of John, the Gospel of Transformation, brings to a completion the story of Jesus' life after the resurrection and before the ascension. It is an epilogue to the story which sums up the spiritual life in the transformed state. We are to look toward the light of consciousness "fish on the right side", we nurture the evolving consciousness "feed my sheep" and we focus on what is our part in bringing darkness to light "follow me!" "that through believing you may have life in his name." John 20:31

This month we consciously bring the darkness to light. We acknowledge all that we see in the outer as being reflections of what is inside of us. We take the response ability to bring all these dark parts of ourselves to light that they may be transformed into light and love so that we may abide in love. We abide in God (1John 4:16)

Please affirm with us: “God is the light in which I see; I am a radiating channel of light and love; my life is transformed!"

For so it is and so it shall be, Amen!

October 18, 2017 - "THE LIGHT OF HOPE!"

“Hope is
being able to see that there is light
despite all of the darkness.”
― Desmond Tutu

"When they had finished breakfast, Jesus said to Simon Peter, ‘Simon son of John, do you love me more than these?’ He said to him, ‘Yes, Lord; you know that I love you.’ Jesus said to him, ‘Feed my lambs.’" John 21:15

"Peter's spiritual advancement hinged on his possession of love, and the test of love is its willingness to serve.” Charles Fillmore, Mysteries of John 179

“If you cannot concentrate your thought firmly on me, then seek to reach me by discipline in practice Even if you fail in practice, dedicate yourself to action; performing actions for my sake, you will achieve success.” Bhagavad-Gita 12:9-10

"When you are looking toward the Light, shadows fall behind you." Myrtle Fillmore, How to Let God Help You 109

"Handle the difficult while it is still easy. Handle the big while it is still small. Difficult tasks begin with what is easy. Great accomplishments begin with what is small. Therefore the wise never strive for the great and thus achieve greatness." Lao Tse, Tao te Ching 63

"The act of redemption is not only outer and social; it is also inner and psychological." John Sanford, The Kingdom Within, 139

“After this he said to him, ‘Follow me.’" John 21:19

October 11, 2017 - "KINDLE THE LIGHT!"

“The sole purpose of human existence
is to kindle a light in the darkness of mere being.”
― Carl Jung

"When they had gone ashore, they saw a charcoal fire there, with fish on it, and bread. Jesus said to them, ‘Bring some of the fish that you have just caught.’" John 21:9-10

"The bread and fish that Jesus provided on the shore represents the supply of Spirit for the needs of the body.” Charles Fillmore, Mysteries of John 177

“Focus your mind on me, let your understanding enter me; then you will dwell in me without doubt.” Bhagavad-Gita 12:8

"God is the very Light which enables you to understand yourself, others, and all God's creation, so that you may always think Truth, the true state of all creation." Myrtle Fillmore, How to Let God Help You 17

"Why did the ancients prize this Way? Did they not say, 'Seek, and you will find; let go, and you will be forgiven.' Therefore the Way is valued by the world." Lao Tse, Tao te Ching 62

"The process of the establishment of the kingdom in the life of an individual involves the inclusion of what was hitherto unrecognized and unknown... they constitute our unredeemed humanity that must now be found." John Sanford, The Kingdom Within, 137

“So Simon Peter went aboard and hauled the net ashore, full of large fish, a hundred and fifty-three of them; and though there were so many, the net was not torn." John 21:11

The number 153 is spiritually significant. It starts with the one, a consciousness of unity, which draws to us all that we need in the material realm or five sense consciousness. Three is the trinity: spirit, soul, body, or mind, idea, expression or thinker, thought, action. Added together it equals nine, a spiritually aware number, a trinity of trinities.

October 4, 2017 - "DARKNESS TO LIGHT!"

“It is during our darkest moments
that we must focus to see the light.”
― Aristotle

"They went out and got into the boat, but that night they caught nothing." John 21:3

"The net of man's thought works hard and long in the darkness of human understanding and gains but little, but once the Christ Mind is perceived and obeyed the net is cast on the "right side," and success follows.” Charles Fillmore, Mysteries of John 177

“Mastering their senses, with equanimity toward everything, they reach me, rejoicing in the welfare of all creatures.” Bhagavad-Gita 12:4

"We are to remember that the Light shines in the darkness and that in the very midst of the darkness, man's mind opens to the Light, and for him there is no more darkness." Myrtle Fillmore, How to Let God Help You 69

"States are governed by justice. Wars are waged by violations. The world is mastered by nonintervention. How do I know this? By this: the more restrictions there are, the poorer the people; the more sharp weapons, the more trouble in the state; the more clever cunning, the more contrivances; the more rules and regulations, the more thieves and robbers " Lao Tse, Tao te Ching 57

"The ethic of the kingdom is an ethic of consciousness. To achieve the kingdom, nothing that belongs to us must be denied conscious recognition and acceptance as a genuine part of our totality." John Sanford, The Kingdom Within, 136

“He said to them, ‘Cast the net to the right side of the boat, and you will find some.’ So they cast it, and now they were not able to haul it in because there were so many fish." John 21:6
