June 22, 2022 - "THE WORK OF THE IMAGINATION!"

“Logic
will get you from A to B.
Imagination
will take you everywhere.”

 –  Albert Einstein

"And God spoke to Israel in a vision at night and said, 'Jacob! Jacob!' 'Here I am,' he replied." Genesis 46:2

"So we find that the simple and universally intelligible avenue of visions and dreams, the work of the imagination, was adopted as an important means by which the believers were instructed and called together." Charles Fillmore, The Twelve Powers of Man 74

"Suppress the whims of the will and untie the mistakes of the heart. Expunge the knots of Virtue, unblock the flow of the Tao." The Book of Chuang Tzu, Martin Palmer, et. al. 206.

"So when you turn to the secret place for silence, be sure that you get away from yourself, your old ideas and desires, and bring your mind into perfect harmony with the Christ ideas. Work definitely to bring those ideas to bear upon your thought centers, and then come forth to practice what you have just seen with spiritual vision and declared for yourself." Myrtle Fillmore, Healing Letters 46.

"Take the example of the Zen Masters. No matter what task or motion they undertake, they do it slowly and evenly, without reluctance." Thich Nhat Hanh, The Miracle of Mindfulness, 29.

"Religion is as much a part of the human soul as the human soul is a part of God. And as long as God and the human soul exist religion will never die." Ralph Waldo Trine, In Tune With The Infinite. 110.

"The value of the Transfiguration is in its symbolic meaning. Jesus Himself referred to it as a vision and told the Apostles not to speak of it until after His resurrection (Mt 17:9)."  Elizabeth Sand Turner, Your Hope of Glory, 142

“Imagination will often carry us to worlds that never were. But without it we go nowhere.” ~  Carl Sagan

“After six days Jesus took with him Peter, James and John the brother of James, and led them up a high mountain by themselves. There he was transfigured before them. His face shone like the sun, and his clothes became as white as the light. Just then there appeared before them Moses and Elijah, talking with Jesus." Matthew 17:1-3.

We are continuing our study of The Twelve Powers of Man by Charles Fillmore, Unity's system for the realization of the Regeneration. These "twelve fundamental faculties" (pg 62) are inherent expressions of the Christ within. By awakening to these faculties we raise our awareness of their role in establishing a new and higher dimension to life and living.

The Spiritual Faculty of Imagination is our focus this month. "When there is a prophet among you, I, the Lord, reveal myself to them in visions, I speak to them in dreams." Numbers 12:6

Bartholomew (Nathanael) is the disciple that represents Imagination. Its seat is in the center of the forehead, the 'third eye.' Here we open our minds to new and creative avenues of life expression. We have imagination, it is inherent within us. God in us shows us all that we need to know, to be and do.

Each of these spiritual faculties have both a masculine, assertive, active ability and a feminine, receptive, passive attitude quality. Vision is the ability to see new and creative ideas for being and doing. Inspiration is the attitude of being filled with the spirit of light & love.

Thank you for accompanying us on this journey of self-realization and discovery of our Divine potential!

Please affirm with us: “God in me is Imagination: I see new and creative ways of being and doing that which is mine to be and do!"

Thank you God, thank you God, thank you God!

For so it is and so it shall be, Amen!

June 15, 2022 - "THE CHAMBER OF IMAGERY!"

“Happiness
is not an ideal of reason,
but of imagination.”

 –  Immanuel Kant

"When Jesus saw Nathanael approaching, he said of him, 'Here truly is an Israelite in whom there is no deceit.'  'How do you know me?' Nathanael asked. Jesus answered, 'I saw you while you were still under the fig tree before Philip called you.'" John 1:47-48

"The Spirit of truth projects into the chamber of imagery pictures that, rightly understood, will be a sure guide for all people who believe in the omnipresence of mind." Charles Fillmore, The Twelve Powers of Man 73.

"Perfect behaviour does not discriminate amongst people; perfect righteousness takes no account of things; perfect knowledge makes no plans; perfect benevolence exhibits no emotion; perfect faith makes no oath of sincerity." The Book of Chuang Tzu, Martin Palmer, et. al. 206.

"But as you raise yourself into the Christ consciousness and see as God sees, you will look through and beyond appearances and being to understand the true state of affairs and to discern just what is taking place in men." Myrtle Fillmore, Healing Letters 156.

"Don't do any task in order to get it over with, Resolve to do each job in a relaxed way, with all your attention. Enjoy and be one with your work." Thich Nhat Hanh, The Miracle of Mindfulness, 29.

"Teach as did Jesus, the living Christ... the Christ within. Find this in all its transcendent beauty and power, find it as Jesus found it, then you also will be one who will speak with authority," Ralph Waldo Trine, In Tune With The Infinite. 109.

"It is our right to call on (Nathanael) when things look dark, and through the faculty of the spiritual imagination we see the silver lining of the cloud, health instead of sickness, opulence instead of lack, peace instead of inharmony."  Elizabeth Sand Turner, Your Hope of Glory, 84.

“A rock pile ceases to be a rock pile the moment a single man contemplates it, bearing within him the image of a cathedral.” ~  Antoine de Saint-Exupery (Little Prince)

“Jesus said, 'You believe because I told you I saw you under the fig tree. You will see greater things than that.' He then added, 'Very truly I tell you, you will see heaven open, and the angels of God ascending and descending on the Son of Man.'" John 1:50.

June 8, 2022 - "THE MIND OF BEING!"

in search of meaning.”

 –  Plato

"Man and the universe are a series of pictures in the Mind of Being." Charles Fillmore, The Twelve Powers of Man 71

"Someone who focuses on the internal is not interested in fame. Someone who focuses on the external is intent on gaining whatever he can. The one who does things which bring no glory, shines brightly in all he does." The Book of Chuang Tzu, Martin Palmer, et. al. 204.

"It isn't individuals at Unity who quicken and heal... It is the stirring in us of the same Spirit of Christ that was and is in Jesus Christ -- The Spirit of God -- standing forth in the individual as the expression of divine ideas from the mind of Being." Myrtle Fillmore, Healing Letters 137.

"Every day and every hour, one should practice mindfulness. That's easy to say, but to carry it out in practice is not. That's why I suggest to those who come to the meditation sessions that each person should try hard to reserve one day out of the week to devote entirely to their practice of mindfulness." Thich Nhat Hanh, The Miracle of Mindfulness, 27.

"He (Jesus) has given us an ideal of life, an ideal for us to attain to here and now..." Ralph Waldo Trine, In Tune With The Infinite. 109.

“We are shaped by our thoughts; we become what we think. When the mind is pure, joy follows like a shadow that never leaves.” ~  Buddha

“Imagination is
the beginning of creation.”

"Imagination must picture the God qualities in one's fellows and in one's environment that are lovable;" Myrtle Fillmore, Healing Letters 93.

"Be mindful 24 hours a day, not just during the one hour you may allot for formal meditation or reading scripture and reciting prayers. Each act must be carried out in mindfulness." Thich Nhat Hanh, The Miracle of Mindfulness, 24.

"Bartholomew, called Nathanael in the Gospel of John, represents imagination. All visible forms have their origin in the imagination, and it is through the activity of this faculty that the formless takes form, thus molding our bodies and the conditions of our lives."  Elizabeth Sand Turner, Your Hope of Glory, 84

This month we are continuing our study of The Twelve Powers of Man by Charles Fillmore, Unity's system for the realization of the Regeneration. These "twelve fundamental faculties" (pg 62) are inherent expressions of the Christ within. By awakening to these faculties we raise our awareness of their role in establishing a new and higher dimension to life and living.

Our current focus is on the Spiritual Faculty of Power. "You will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you" Acts 1:8.

Phillip is the disciple that represents Power. Its seat is in the throat center that expresses the power of God within us through our thoughts and words. We have power, it is inherent within us. God in us desires that we express dominion and mastery in our own lives.

Each of these spiritual faculties have both a masculine, assertive, active ability and a feminine, receptive, passive attitude quality. Movement is the ability to express through effort. Serenity is an attitude of being opened to the experience of inner peace.

Thank you for accompanying us on this journey of self-realization and discovery of our Divine potential!

Please affirm with us: “God in me is Power: my thoughts and words vibrate with Divine Power!"

Thank you God, thank you God, thank you God!

For so it is and so it shall be, Amen!

This is what we call the Heavenly Gate." The Book of Chuang Tzu, Martin Palmer, et. al. 205.

"As you come out of the silence, count your blessings and give thanks for them. Realize that only the good exists in you and in your world, that the power you contacted in the silence may have opportunity to multiply and increase your blessings." Myrtle Fillmore, Healing Letters 49.

"Breath is a tool. Breath itself is mindfulness. The use of breath as a tool may help one obtain immense benefits, but these cannot be considered as ends in themselves. These benefits are only the by-products of the realization of mindfulness." Thich Nhat Hanh, The Miracle of Mindfulness, 23.

We continue our study of The Twelve Powers of Man by Charles Fillmore, Unity's system for the realization of the Regeneration. These "twelve fundamental faculties" (pg 62) are inherent expressions of the Christ within. By awakening to these faculties we raise our awareness of their role in establishing a new and higher dimension to life and living.

This month we focus on the Spiritual Faculty of Love "God is love, and those who abide in love abide in God, and God abides in them." 1 John 4:16.
