September 26, 2018 - "BEING GOD CONSCIOUS!"

"The key to growth is the introduction
of higher dimensions of consciousness into our awareness.”
― Lao Tzu

"Let your word be ‘Yes, Yes’ or ‘No, No’; anything more than this comes from the evil one (error consciousness.)" Matthew 5:37

"The method by which Jesus evolved from sense consciousness to God consciousness was, first, the recognition of the spiritual selfhood and a constant affirmation of its supremacy and power.” Charles Fillmore, Atom Smashing Power of Mind 37

"Humankind is being led along an evolving course, through this migration of intelligences, and though we seem to be sleeping, there is an inner wakefulness that directs the dream, and that will eventually startle us back to the truth of who we are." The Essential Rumi, Coleman Barks 113

"We commune with God-Mind within our own consciousness. Prayer is an exercise to change our own thought habits and our living habits, that we may set up a new and better activity, in accord with the divine law rather than with the suggestions we have received from various sources." Myrtle Fillmore, Healing Letters 33

"Such complete mastery of the body does not, of course, come of posture alone. It arises from a state of absorption in the consciousness of God." How to Know God - The Yoga Aphorisms of Patanjali 161-2

"Aligned with the One are those whose lives radiate from a core of love; they shall see God everywhere." (Matthew 5:8 restated) Neil Douglas Klotz Prayers Of The Cosmos 62

"As for me, I shall behold your face in righteousness; when I awake I shall be satisfied, beholding your likeness." Psalm 17:15

To be pure in heart is to be faith filled. It is to know God, to know good, as the essence of our being, the source and supply of our every needed good. It is the spiritual realization of peace, wholeness and abundance in our unity with all that is, all that has been, and all that will be.

In this Attitude of Being, stated in Matthew 5:8, and the related passages in the Sermon on the Mount, vs. 5:27-37, we are shown the qualities of being faith filled, spiritually perceptive, pure and God conscious. When we can see God in all, then we truly see.

Please affirm with us: “God is love; with a heart full of love, I see only love through eyes of love!"

Thank you God, thank you God, thank you God!

For so it is and so it shall be, Amen!

September 19, 2018 - " BEING PURE!"

“When the mind is pure,
joy follows like a shadow that never leaves.”
― Buddha

"Again you have heard that it was said to the men of old, `You shall not swear falsely, but shall perform to the Lord what you have sworn.' But I say to you, Do not swear at all, either by heaven, for it is the throne of God, or by the earth, for it is his footstool..." Matthew 5:33-35

"The body is the instrument of the mind, and the mind looks to the Spirit for its inspiration. A very little observation shows that the purer the mind the greater its capacity to receive and interpret the ideas imparted to it by the Spirit.” Charles Fillmore, Atom Smashing Power of Mind 20

"God picks up the reed-flute world and blows. Each note is a need coming through one of us, a passion, a longing-pain. Remember the lips where the wind-breath originated, and let your note be clear. Don't try to end it. Be your note. I'll show you how it's enough." The Essential Rumi, Coleman Barks 103

"God is the one perfect life flowing through us. God is the one pure substance out of which our organism is formed.." Myrtle Fillmore, Healing Letters 40

Regarding asanas or postures: "The aim is to achieve an effortless alertness, in which the body is perfectly steady and yet perfectly relaxed. Since a maladjusted body only expresses a tense and restless state of mind, we are told to calm our minds by meditating on what is infinite." How to Know God - The Yoga Aphorisms of Patanjali 161

"The main principle in all the methods is devotion to God. The more we think of the Lord and take refuge in him, the more we shall love him -- and the purer our hearts will become." Swami Prabhavananda Sermon On The Mount according to Vedanta 28

"Who shall ascend the hill of the Lord? And who shall stand in his holy place? He who has clean hands and a pure heart, who does not lift up his soul to what is false and does not swear deceitfully." Psalm 24: 3-4

“If the doors of perception were cleansed
everything would appear to man as it is,
― William Blake

"If your right eye causes you to sin, tear it out and throw it away; it is better for you to lose one of your members than for your whole body to be thrown into hell." Matthew 5:29

"This death is of the material perception of substance and life, which is reflected in man's body of flesh. This must perish. The limited concept of matter and of a material body must be transformed so that the true spiritual body may appear.” Charles Fillmore, Atom Smashing Power of Mind 154

"Like a fresh idea in an artist's mind, you fashion things before they come into being. You sweep the floor like the man who keeps the doorway. When you brush a form clean, it becomes what it truly is." The Essential Rumi, Coleman Barks 102

"A strong, unclouded, perceiving, and discerning mind attuned to Truth is manifest in strong, healthy eyes and clearness of sight; for one who perceives the Truth will live by the law of Truth." Myrtle Fillmore, Healing Letters 57

Regarding asanas or postures: "All that really matters, however, is to take up a position in which one can sit absolutely still and erect, holding the chest, neck and head in a straight line; but without strain, so that one can forget the body altogether." How to Know God - The Yoga Aphorisms of Patanjali 160

"To 'see' in the sense referred to here (Matthew 5:8) signifies spiritual perception, and spiritual perception means just that capacity to apprehend the true nature of being which we all so sadly lack." Emmet Fox Sermon On The Mount 36

"And she said unto her husband, Behold now, I perceive that this is an holy man of God, which passeth by us continually. Let us make a little chamber, I pray thee, on the wall; and let us set for him there a bed, and a table, and a stool, and a candlestick: and it shall be, when he cometh to us, that he shall turn in thither." 2 Kings 4:9-10 KJV

September 5, 2018 - "BEING FAITH FILLED!"

“I gave in, and admitted that God was God.”
― C. S. Lewis

"Blessed are the pure in heart, for they will see God." Matthew 5:8

"Spiritual realization changes things. In scientific prayer realization is the high point of attainment. With concentrated spiritual attention man can affirm in faith that God Spirit is present and that he, man, is one with the God presence.” Charles Fillmore, Atom Smashing Power of Mind 29

"Work. Keep digging your well. Don't think about getting off from work. Water is there somewhere. Submit to a daily practice. Your loyalty to that is a ring on the door. Keep knocking, and the joy inside will eventually open a window and look out to see who's there." The Essential Rumi, Coleman Barks 101

"When we are full of faith and cooperate with this restoring principle of our being, God's work of restoration never ceases its activity in us." Myrtle Fillmore, Healing Letters 58

"One yoga cannot be practiced to the entire exclusion of the others. No one who follows a truly religious path can do so without love, discrimination, and dedicated action. No one can dispense with meditation altogether." How to Know God - The Yoga Aphorisms of Patanjali 157

"Don't let the apparent block the real... When you are pure in heart... then you see God everywhere, you see good everywhere., However, you are seeing things, not as they are, but as you are." Eric Butterworth Discover The Power Within You 67-68

"As a man thinketh in his heart, so is he" Proverbs 23:7 KJV

August 29, 2018 - "BEING TRUE!"

“This above all; to thine own self be true.”
― William Shakespeare

"Be perfect, therefore, as your heavenly Father is perfect." Matthew 5:48

"When you sift your consciousness of all but the real and true, the body becomes full of light.” Charles Fillmore, Atom Smashing Power of Mind 49

"God's presence is there in front of me, a fire on the left, a lovely stream on the right. One group walks toward the fire, into the fire, another toward the sweet flowing water... Whoever walks into the fire appears suddenly in the stream. A head goes under on the water surface, that head pokes out of the fire. Most people guard against going into the fire and so end up in it." The Essential Rumi, Coleman Barks 97

"The manifestations will come as there is need, and as you and the dear daddy, and all whom the Father may direct, are true to what He would have you do and to the light of spiritual understanding and loving service." Myrtle Fillmore, Healing Letters 150

"The jnana yogi rejects all that is transient and apparent and superficial, saying 'not this, not this,' and so comes at length to Brahman (ultimate reality) by the process of elimination." How to Know God - The Yoga Aphorisms of Patanjali 156

"This command of Jesus (Matthew 5:48) is one of the most tremendous things in the whole Bible... it can be only a matter of time before we assume our true condition of spiritual salvation;" Emmet Fox Sermon on the Mount 84

"This God—his way is perfect; the promise of the Lord proves true; he is a shield for all who take refuge in him." Psalms 18:30

Mercy and compassion require conscious effort on the part of the merciful; for what we give out we receive back. The law of retribution, an eye for an eye, is a negative expression of this principle or "law of consciousness." Also known as the Law of Attraction, Karma which is both negative and positive, and Newton's third law of action and reaction; the Law of Giving and Receiving is the primary principle for living: as we give so shall we receive.

In this "Attitude of Being", Matthew 5:7 and the related passages: vs. 38-48, Jesus is laying out these qualities for conscious evolution into Christ Consciousness: Being Conscious, Mindful, Kind, Loving and True. This month our meditation and contemplation will be upon consciously realizing these qualities in our day by day, moment by moment, thought by thought expression of Divine Life.

Please affirm with us: “God is the light in which I see; I am alive, alert, awake and enthusiastic for life and living!"

Thank you God, thank you God, thank you God!

For so it is and so it shall be, Amen!

“There is no limit to the power of loving.”
― John Morton

"But the more we talk about love, the stronger it grows in the consciousness, and if we persist in thinking loving thoughts and speaking loving words, we are sure to bring into our experience the feeling of that great love.” Charles Fillmore, Talks On Truth 51

"Bhakti yoga is the path of loving devotion to God... It is the cultivation of a direct intense, personal relationship between worshiper and worshiped." How to Know God - The Yoga Aphorisms of Patanjali 154

"Be indifferent to the wicked... We cannot think of the Lord or love him until this thought-wave has subsided. If we want to find God, we have to become God-like in mercy." Swami Prabhavananda Sermon on the Mount according to Vedanta 25

"I love those who love me, and those who seek me diligently find me." Proverbs 8:17

― Aesop

"Give to everyone who begs from you, and do not refuse anyone who wants to borrow from you." Matthew 5:42

"'But there's no one in there but you. Everyone else has left. Who makes you sit still so long?' 'The one who keeps me in here is the one who keeps you out there. The same who will not let you in will not let me out.'" The Essential Rumi, Coleman Barks 90

"Lovers can't sleep when they feel the privacy of the beloved all around them. Someone who's thirsty may sleep for a little while, but he or she will dream of water, a full jar beside a creek, or the spiritual water you get from another person. All night, listen to the conversation. Stay up. This moment is all there is." The Essential Rumi, Coleman Barks 86

"The Lord has been mindful of us; he will bless us." Psalms 115:12

August 1, 2018 - "BEING CONSCIOUS!"

“Peace is
a conscious choice.”
―John Denver

"Blessed are the merciful, for they will receive mercy." Matthew 5:7

"We must rise to the conscious realization that every thought of mind, every atom of body, every molecule of being, every function of nature, and every force is divine, and that all of these do and shall vibrate to the harmonies of Spirit. This is the resurrection of man; there is none other.” Charles Fillmore, Atom Smashing Power Of Mind 123

"What draws friends together does not conform to laws of nature. Form doesn't know about spiritual closeness... Don't go to sleep one night. What you most want will come to you then. Warmed by a sun inside, you'll see wonders." The Essential Rumi, Coleman Barks 85

"It is God's plan, you know, to have the creation picture forth, express His own ideas, qualities, and being. And it is our purpose in being here to become conscious of and to express in our life the true pattern and qualities of our Father-Mother." Myrtle Fillmore, Healing Letters 63

"When a man becomes steadfast in his abstention from greed, he gains knowledge of his past, present and future existences." How to Know God - The Yoga Aphorisms of Patanjali 150

Myrtle Fillmore, Healing Letters 53

"For true religion is not 'taught,' like history or mathematics; it is transmitted, like light or heat." How to Know God - The Yoga Aphorisms of Patanjali 150

"This is a wonderful gnomic saying summing up the essential truth of the Omnipresence and the Allness of God. It means that God is indeed All in All, the doer, the doing, and the deed, and one can say also the spectator." Emmet Fox, The Sermon on the Mount 181

"The Lord has established his throne in the heavens, and his kingdom rules over all." Psalms 103:19

Prayer is conscious communion with God. We are always in communion with God, our work is to increase our conscious awareness of this connection. In the Lord's Prayer, Matthew 6:9-13, we are guided to invoke this awareness of God as our source of all needed good (daily bread;) that we receive forgiveness as we forgive; and, we are not tempted to place our faith in and be manipulated by the physical, material world; we place our faith in God the good as our only true reality.

We continue our meditation and contemplation on this model for affirmative prayer this month. We do not make God change, or attempt to change anything in the outer; we are engaged in the transformation of our consciousness from an outer to an inner orientation of all sufficiency in all things.

Please affirm with us: “With God as my Source, all I need and desire is readily provided!

Thank you God, thank you God, thank you God!

For so it is and so it shall be, Amen!

“I can resist everything
except temptation.”
― Oscar Wilde

"Let not temptation lead us, but deliver us from evil." Matthew 6:13

"It does not seem possible that God would lead us into temptation. The statement about temptation follows closely that regarding the forgiveness of sin, and it is evidently a part of it. 'Let not temptation lead us' is a permissible interpretation..” Charles Fillmore, Jesus Christ Heals 68

"I love the half a coin that I have already in my hand from yesterday more than the promise of a whole one today, or the promise of a hundred tomorrow. A sufi is the child of this moment." The Essential Rumi, Coleman Barks 82

"Positive declaration of the truth of ones unity with God sets up a new current of thought power, which delivers one from the old beliefs and their depression. And when the soul is lifted up and becomes positive, the body and the affairs are readily healed." Myrtle Fillmore, Healing Letters 35

"The Atman -- the experiencer -- is pure consciousness. It appears to take on the changing colors of the mind. In reality, it is unchangeable." How to Know God - The Yoga Aphorisms of Patanjali 133

"As we advance, new and powerful temptations await us on the path, ever ready to hurl us down if we are not watchful -- temptations to work for self-glory, and self aggrandizement instead of for God;" Emmet Fox, The Sermon on the Mount 178

Forgiveness is the attribute of the strong.”
― Mahatma Gandhi

"And forgive us our debts, as we also have forgiven our debtors." Matthew 6:12

"Everything that happens to us, no matter how seemingly trivial, throughout the day, offers some tiny clue which could lead us toward wider spiritual knowledge and eventual liberation." How to Know God - The Yoga Aphorisms of Patanjali 132

"When we recognize our debts, when we realize that everything, good or bad, that comes to us, has been previously earned by ourselves alone, then we know that we must not hold anybody else responsible for anything that we suffer." Swami Prabhavananda, The Sermon on the Mound according to Vedanta 95

"One who forgives an affront fosters friendship, but one who dwells on disputes will alienate a friend." Proverbs 17:9

July 4, 2018 - "OUR DAILY BREAD!"

“The sky is
the daily bread of the eyes.”
― Ralph Waldo Emerson

"Give us this day our daily bread." Matthew 6:11

"We must learn to understand the divine law of supply and the original plan, which is that we have each day our daily bread. Anything more than we need for today is a burden. The substance is here all the time, supplying us with every needful thing. Start with the fundamental proposition that there is plenty for you and for me.” Charles Fillmore, Dynamics for Living 216

"We meet at this appointed time, but the text says, Lovers pray constantly. Once a day, once a week, five times an hour, is not enough. Fish like we are need the ocean around us!" The Essential Rumi, Coleman Barks 80

"We are helping all who come our way to unite with us in the study of the Truth that enables each one to bring forth sufficient supply for daily needs, and to make good use of all the riches of God here in the earth as well as in the heavens of mind." Myrtle Fillmore, Healing Letters 16

"The universe exists in order that the experiencer may experience it, and thus become liberated." How to Know God - The Yoga Aphorisms of Patanjali 130

"This is not asking God for supply, for that would be like a fish asking the ocean for water. It is simply an affirmation of the Truth that God is substance, and a claiming on one's inheritance." Eric Butterworth, Discover The Power Within You 117

"Blessed be the Lord, who daily bears us up; God is our salvation." Psalms 68:19
