September 25, 2024 – SPIRITUAL MINDED!
A merry heart maketh a cheerful countenance.” — King Solomon
“Each one must do as he has made up his mind, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver.” 2 Corinthians 9:7.
“The spiritual-minded man does not make selfish use of the law but gives because he loves to give. Because he gives with no thought of reward and no other motive than love, he is thrown more completely into the inevitable operation of the law and his return is all the more certain.” Prosperity, Charles Fillmore, 143-144.
“We have fallen into the place where everything is music. The strumming and the flute notes rise into the atmosphere, and even if the whole world’s harp should burn up, there will still be hidden instruments playing.” The Essential Rumi, Coleman Barks, et. al., 34-35.
“I loved seeing folks get well and happy. I do yet; but I have learned that the spiritual awakening and the daily development of Christ powers are more important. The soul must be awakened and brought to a realization of the Truth, and encouraged in the righteous use of all the God-given faculties and powers.” Myrtle Fillmore, How To Let God Help You, 200.
“In the Mahayana Buddhist tradition, the practice of dana, generosity, is like this. We do whatever we can to benefit others without seeing ourselves as helpers and the others as the helped. This is the spirit of non-self.” Thich Nhat Hanh, Living Buddha, Living Christ, 66.
“A problem can exist only in what is called the universal human mind, and it finds outlet through an individual. If you refuse to let it flow out from you, the problem is dead.” Joel Goldsmith, The Altitude of Prayer, 88.
“I turn to God consciously and in the silence so that I can carry about with me the awareness of His presence and power in all my daily acts.” James Dillet Freeman, Prayer the Master Key, 92.

“Think of giving not as a duty but as a privilege..” — John D. Rockefeller, Jr
“But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things shall be yours as well.” Matthew 6:33.
“The great promise of prosperity is that if (people) seek God and His righteousness first, then all shall be added unto them. One of the most practical and sensible ways of seeking God’s kingdom first is to be a tither, to put God first in finances… Tithing establishes method in giving and brings into the consciousness a sense of order and fitness that will be manifested in one’s outer life and affairs as increased efficiency and greater prosperity.” Prosperity, Charles Fillmore, 141-142.
“There is a way between voice and presence where information flows. In disciplined silence it opens. With wandering talk it closes.” The Essential Rumi, Coleman Barks, et. al., 32.
“Begin right now to talk plenty, give thanks for plenty. The spiritual Substance out of which visible wealth comes is never depleted. It is right with you all the time. It will respond to your faith in it. It will yield according to your demands upon it. It is never affected by your ignorant talk about hard times, but you are affected because your ideas govern your demonstration.” Myrtle Fillmore, How To Let God Help You, 154.
“When we gather together to form a Sangha (community), we practice opening up the confines of our separate self and become a large body of love and understanding.” Thich Nhat Hanh, Living Buddha, Living Christ, 66.

“Give according to your income lest God make your income according to your giving.” — Peter Marshall.

“True giving is the love and generosity of the Spirit quickened heart responding to the love and generosity of the Father’s heart.” Prosperity, Charles Fillmore, 133.

“Praise and thanksgiving have within them the quickening spiritual power that produces growth and increase.” Myrtle Fillmore, How To Let God Help You, 155.
“When we live in Sangha (community), we regard each other as brothers and sisters, and we practice the Six Concords (agreements) — Sharing space, sharing the essentials of daily life, observing the same precepts, using only words that contribute to harmony, sharing our insights and understanding, and respecting each other’s viewpoints. A community that follows these principles always lives happily and at peace.” Thich Nhat Hanh, Living Buddha, Living Christ, 65.
“Prayer is the ability to enter the silence without a problem, just for the joy of communion with God, for the experience of coming to know God aright.” Joel Goldsmith, The Altitude of Prayer, 88.

September 4, 2024 – DIVINE LAW!
“Giving is true having.” — Charles Spurgeon
“…give, and it will be given to you; good measure, pressed down, shaken together, running over, will be put into your lap. For the measure you give will be the measure you get back.” Luke 6:38.
“Promises of spiritual benefits and increase of God’s bounty through the keeping of this divine law of giving and receiving, abound in all the Scriptures… All ages and all religious dispensations have stressed giving as a vital part of their worship.” Prosperity, Charles Fillmore, 132,136.

A man taps a clay pot before he buys it to know by the sound if it has a crack.” The Essential Rumi, Coleman Barks, et. al., 31.

“Abide in that stillness, quietness, and peace until the Spirit of God descends and inwardly you feel a release from the problem, a release from fear and anxiety. Then, in its season, God’s grace takes the form of a healing, of an uplifting, of supplying, of a happier human relationship, something very tangible.” Joel Goldsmith, The Altitude of Prayer, 88.
“But prayer is like a sluice gate. When the storm comes and the waters begin to rise, we open the gate of prayer and the water flows gently, steadily where we want it to go — into paths of constructive thinking — thinking about God, about life, about love, about power; into looking and listening for inspiration and instruction; into finding faith and joy; into positive thinking instead of negative resisting.” James Dillet Freeman, Prayer the Master Key, 90-91.
“The essence of all art is to have pleasure in giving pleasure.” — Dale Carnegie.
“One man gives freely, yet grows all the richer; another withholds what he should give, and only suffers want.” Proverbs 11:24.
THE OPEN DOOR IN ‘24
Our theme for 2024 is: “The Open Door.” It is time to focus on what is true, what is helpful, intuitive, necessary and kind (think). “After this I looked, and lo, in heaven an open door!” (Revelation 4:1)
It is often said that, “When one door closes another door opens.” There is always an open door, yet we tend to focus on the closed door. Banging our head against it, weeping cabout it, complaining to our friends and those who will listen, will not open the closed door. And, when we raise our vision in a heaven state of consciousness and see the door that is open to us; we see beyond the appearances of lack and limitation to know the truth of the abundant universe that provides for our every needed good.
Our weekly Prayer Circle letters this year will follow the book ‘Prosperity’ by Unity co-founder, Charles Fillmore. “Realize first of all that prosperity is not wholly a matter of capital or environment but a condition brought about by certain ideas that have been allowed to rule in the consciousness. When these ideas are changed the conditions are changed in spite of environment and all appearances, which must also change to conform to the new ideas.”(pg. 80.) Prosperity is not about stuff and things, material objects or bank accounts. It is the consciousness that draws to us all that we need and desire. Its realization requires first a change of mind about our relationship with the universe and its creator (to repent is to ‘think again’) and then to act in accord with this new understanding.
For September we are sharing from Lesson Nine: Tithing, the Road to Prosperity.
Thank you for accompanying us on this journey of self-realization and discovery of our Divine potential!
Please affirm with us: “God is my Divine Source and Supply; I give knowing that I have received!”
Thank you God, thank you God, thank you God!
For so it is and so it shall be, Amen!
August 28, 2024 – DIVINE ABUNDANCE!
“Not what we have but what we enjoy, constitutes our abundance.” — Epicurus
“I came that they may have life, and have it abundantly.” John 10:10.
“Above all we should fill our mind with the consciousness of that divine abundance which is so manifest everywhere in the world today.” Prosperity, Charles Fillmore, 127.
“Every spoken word is a covering for the inner self. A little curtain-flick no wider that a slice of roast meat can reveal hundreds of exploding suns.” The Essential Rumi, Coleman Barks, et. al., 30.
“Pray for understanding. Claim your oneness with God. Study your relationship with Him so that you may know how to lay hold of the abundant life, intelligence, substance, and love, so that you can build these into your soul and your body, to perfect your expression.” Myrtle Fillmore, How To Let God Help You, 17.
“In Buddhism, a Sangha is a group of monks, nuns, laymen and laywomen who practice together to encourage the best qualities in each other… An imperfect Sangha is good enough. We can help build and improve the Sangha by practicing mindfully, step by step, encouraging each other.” Thich Nhat Hanh, Living Buddha, Living Christ, 63-64.
“What do you need to pray for? Nothing! What do you believe God is withholding from you? Nothing! Then why are you closing your eyes in prayer? Why, except that you may receive the grace of God, that His Spirit may be upon you, that you may be healed physically, mentally, morally, financially, whatever the need may be.” Joel Goldsmith, The Altitude of Prayer, 87.
“Prayer is a profitable use of your energy. All of us are most inclined to pray when we do not know what else to do. We are much like the frightened lady in the storm battered ship. When she asked the Captain what she could do and he told her, ‘Madam, you can pray,’ she cried out: ‘Good heavens, Captain, is it as bad as that?’” James Dillet Freeman, Prayer the Master Key, 90.
“The key to abundance is meeting limited circumstances with unlimited thoughts.” — Marianne Williamson.

“In the kingdom of Truth and reality ideas are the coin of the realm. You can use the new ideas that divine wisdom is now quickening in your mind and start this very moment to pay your debts. Begin by thanking God for your freedom from the debt burden thought.” Prosperity, Charles Fillmore, 124.
“A lover’s food is the love of the bread, not the bread.” The Essential Rumi, Coleman Barks, et. al., 29.

“The clash of ideas is the sound of freedom.” — Lady Bird Johnson
“Repent (think again), for the kingdom of heaven is at hand (within your reach).” Matthew 3:2.
“We should fill our mind with thoughts of all-sufficiency, and where there is no lack there can be no debts. Thus we find that the way to pay our debts is by filling our mind with the substance of ideas that are the direct opposite of the thoughts of lack that caused the debts.” Prosperity, Charles Fillmore, 121.
“Finally I know the freedom of madness. A random image arrives. I scream, ‘Get out!’ It disintegrates. Only love. Only the holder the flag fits into, and wind. No flag.” The Essential Rumi, Coleman Barks, et. al., 29.
“Philosophy teaches that all that was ever known exists in the world of ideas. When we are able to rise into this realm, we shall know all things.” Myrtle Fillmore, How To Let God Help You, 39.
“When someone from the city arrives in a monastery compound, just seeing the trees and gardens and hearing the sounds of the bell can calm him down… Through their true practice and genuine insight, those who live in monasteries, temples, and practice centers offer us a way to obtain peace, joy, and freedom.” Thich Nhat Hanh, Living Buddha, Living Christ, 62.
“Only the prayer or treatment that transcends words and thoughts and attains an actual contact with the Spirit brings fruitage.” Joel Goldsmith, The Altitude of Prayer, 86.
“You pray when you turn your thought to life. You pray when you love. You pray when you express beauty and truth. You pray when you hold to hope or stand firm in faith. You pray when you have patience and fortitude. You pray when you expect good. You pray when you stay stronger than circumstance and reach beyond limitations with your mind and with your spirit.” James Dillet Freeman, Prayer the Master Key, 89-90.

“Who are we then in this complicated world tangle, which is really just the single, straight line down at the beginning of ALLAH? Nothing. We are emptiness.” The Essential Rumi, Coleman Barks, et. al., 28.
“The Spirit of Truth reveals to you abundant Spirit Substance as the Source of your prosperity. Affirm this to be true for you. Stop holding on to the old ideas.
Your prosperity comes through you instead of to you.” Myrtle Fillmore, How To Let God Help You, 164.
“Is there a way to work in a meditative mood? The answer is clearly yes. We practice mindfulness of cooking, cleaning, sweeping, and washing, When we work this way, we touch the ultimate dimension of reality.” Thich Nhat Hanh, Living Buddha, Living Christ, 61.

For July we are sharing from Lesson Seven: God Has Provided Prosperity for Every Home.
Thank you for accompanying us on this journey of self-realization and discovery of our Divine potential!
Please affirm with us: “Divine Love bountifully supplies and increases substance to meet my every need!” (pg.110)
Thank you God, thank you God, thank you God!
For so it is and so it shall be, Amen!
